Our story begins in the royal kingdom of Travancore, under the reign of Maharaja Avittom Thirunal Balarama Varma (1798–1810). To craft garments worthy of Temples and Kings, he invited eight master weavers from Nagercoil and valliyur Tamil Nadu, to settle in Balaramapuram — thus weaving the first threads of a timeless tradition.
These artisans brought with them unmatched skill in fine cotton and zari weaving. Each piece they created — from royal attire to temple offerings — embodied devotion, precision, and purity. Over generations, their craft became the heartbeat of Balaramapuram, defining Kerala’s most treasured handloom heritage.
Today, our looms still echo their rhythm. Every Veshti and Saree we weave carries the same discipline, artistry, and ancestral pride. At OG Handlooms, we don’t just make fabric — we continue a royal legacy, preserved with honour and woven for modern elegance.

10. Force Majeure: We are not liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond our control.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction: These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts specified in the Company Details section below.
